Future Plot Discussion [1/15/12]

This is for the upcoming plot as of 1/15/12. We'll probably have different topics for a different plot after whatever is coming up gets wrapped up so it's not all crowded. Post your ideas here and we'll see what fits.

Current main ideas:
-Darkness returning, causing all dimensions to move closer to each other, resulting in a lot of random disasters all over the place.
-The void (which I think PR said was the space between dimensions) collapsing.
-Some other stuff Reef might've forgotten that she expects Choices, Neon, and PR need to remind me~ XD

I thought of something: Dimensions moving closer can be a side effect of the collapsing void, and that would include both of the two things. There could be a dimensional blackout, which could serve as the first disaster.
Also, one thing we thought of originally was having multiple plots. There's one big plot, where the darkness returns, and then the most important characters have individual stories of their own which all connect to the main plot.
As for Neon seeing an illusion, towards the end of the plot, the reason for that happening both times should be explained.

But the problem with the collapsing void is that the antagonists won't be able to wreak havoc as thoroughly because they're in their own dimension and have to dimension-warp.
I mean, I like the idea, but it doesn't work out unless there's some other way for them to move around.

And I'm slightly worried about the individual plots because I think the majority of characters are either in Earth or Gensokyo, and most of mine are in... neither. xD;
Though I can probably get some of them to inhabit Earth instead of another dimension.

Well I'm not sure how it works, but I'm under the impression that the void collapsing means that anything can just pass through it.

There are sections for other dimensions. Some of the other characters could be doing something that involves them travelling to another dimension, or vice versa.

Rudi said dimension-warping would be harder though, as he used Masako as an example.
The void is supposed to be the space you go through to get to a different dimension, so if that's collapsing it's a bit difficult to work with the plot...

And yeah, but most my characters are OCs and don't dimension-warp so... I'll probably have to place them on Earth one way or another.

I guess it depends on the universe in question then.

I suppose, though overall, I'm a bit more concerned about how we're going to work with so many characters, though I guess they could be put into groups.

Grouping them would be pretty helpful, despite the fact I still have seven more profiles to make... > 3>;

I have only one so far myself. Not sure if I'll make another profile soon or not, since we've just started planning the new plot and I have no idea how the only other character I have so far could be put added. I'll probably just stick with Neon.

So how does this plot actually start? We know the conflict is a universal cataclysm, but what should everyone be doing before then?

I assumed everyone would be going about their daily lives, and then because there's this unexpected blackout they have do something about it...
In other words, I think we need some action from the evil dream team.

He could~ Though Maddie said she didn't want to put Ely in yet 'cause she wanted a totally evil and epic entrance or something of the like.

I guess. I think Neon was supposed to see it just before the first disaster.

Yeah, he sees it before the blackout.
Since it's just an illusion he sees for a few seconds, I figured it doesn't count as her first real appearance. > 3>~

Anyway, Masako was not an example, she's related to the plot until becoming a victim. That is going to happen. People will forget that Masako ever existed.
Also, I can let it wait. I do have something with Leila that I can do first.
Leila finding the place she was build...

It should all connect to the main plot about dealing with the darkness though. Everyone should have a personal motive too.

What would Leila have to do with it? It's a cyborg on earth.

Not sure. Perhaps the darkness does something that gives Leila a motive in this particular plot. Maybe.

she'd think that is is normal. She never heard about or saw darkness before and is busy more with finding the truth behind her existence.
